Learning Objectives:
Students will be able to:
- Create simulation examples using FreeCAD
- Use DualSPHysics with GUI and via scripts
- use PreonLab
- Identify and evaluate possibilities and limitations of SPH
- Simulate standard flow problems and flows with free surfaces
Course Content:
- Introduction to Linux and to SPH
- Geometry creation via FreeCAD
- Simulation and analysis of floating objects
- Channel flow and comparison with grid methods
- Free surface flows
- Film flows
- Surface tension and contact angle
