From January 20 to 23, 2024, the ITS ski seminar finally took place again in wintry cold but sunny weather in Gaschurn in Montafon. For the first time after a five-year coronavirus break, 22 former and active ITS employees traveled to the Hotel Saladina. In addition to downhill fun on skis and snowboards on the snowy slopes of Madrisella, Versettla and Hochjoch, the focus was on professional exchange between the different generations of scientists. To get to know each other better, the four participants, who were enjoying the ski seminar for the first time, presented their current research topics at the institute. Dr.-Ing. Philippe Gorse gave an exciting insight into his current work at Rolls Royce Power Systems with his technical presentation. This was followed by a lively discussion over lunch and dinner while enjoying local dishes. The highlight was once again the ski race, in which all participants achieved highly respectable times and most of the goalposts remained standing. At the award ceremony on the last evening, the hotel manager took the opportunity to congratulate everyone personally and present them with small gifts. After a successful weekend, we wish all those who unfortunately fell ill or were injured a speedy recovery, look forward to seeing you again next winter and would like to thank the organizers Christian Kromer and Marco Hahn with a heartfelt clack-clack-clack.
