From March 29 to April 1, 2025, the ITS ski seminar took place in spring-like skiing weather in Gaschurn in Montafon. Twenty-five former and active ITS employees traveled to the Hotel Saladina for the event. In addition to downhill fun on skis and snowboards on the snowy slopes of Madrisella, Versettla and Hochjoch, the focus was on the professional exchange between the different generations of scientists. To get to know each other better, Dr. Hanna Martin, who was attending the ski seminar for the first time, presented her current research topics at the institute. Dr.-Ing. Thilo Dauch gave an exciting insight into his current work at Voith Hydro with his technical presentation. This was followed by a lively discussion over lunch and dinner while enjoying local dishes. On the day of departure, the cavern power plant of the Kopswerk I pumped storage power plant of Illwerke VKW AG was also visited. A big thank you to their public relations team!

The annual highlight - the ski race on the final day - had to be canceled this time due to poor visibility. All the more reason for us to look forward to the competition in 2026. After a successful weekend, we look forward to seeing you again next winter and would like to thank the organizers Marco Hahn, Marius Egner and Matthias Haber.
