Description
The ITS impingement cooling test bench is used to investigate the flow behavior and heat transfer during impingement cooling of rotating bodies. The test rig enables operating conditions that come close to the use of high-performance gearboxes in geared engines.
Possibilities
- Variable use of different rotors (e.g. gearwheel or cylinder)
- Possibility of using two gears in mesh
- Temperature measurement in the rotating system using a telemetry unit Various oil nozzles with the option of displacement and rotation during operation
- Max. Speed: 6000 1/min
- Rotor diameter: 260 mm
- Max. Oil temperature: 120°C
- Max. Oil pressure: 15 bar
- Max. Oil volume: 20 l/min
Measuring technology and control
- 43x type K thermocouples + pt100 resistance thermometer (rotating)
- Type K thermocouple (static)
- Pressure sensor
- Coriolis mass flow meter
- Torque measuring shaft
- Servo motor + stepper motor
- Electric brake
- Data acquisition using LabView
